Romantic Rose Installation at Down Hall Hotel

Day-to-day our busy team are running around at all hours, delivering special bouquets, creating show-stopping event flowers and installing photo-worthy displays for a roster of exceptional hotel and restaurant clients. Flower-play downtime is a rare occurrence, however bright and early one February morning, a mini team of Moyses Stevens designers indulged their imaginations and flexed their talents for a very special photoshoot at the regal surroundings of Down Hall Hotel & Spa set in a rolling Hertfordshire estate.
Armed with masses of candy-floss pink and caramel hued roses our floral artists took plenty of inspiration from the fairytale setting of Down Hall - spying a pagoda that wouldn’t look out of place in a particularly swoon-worthy Bridgerton scene. With the bench acting as a canvas, our duo set to work immersing it in an overflowing long and low design - the blooms were interspersed with sweet astrantia. Stepping back to admire the enchanting scene, it exuded dream proposal-setting vibes. Meanwhile inside the dashing venue our rose wranglers amped up the romance a few notches further with a series of drama-filled installations - including a cascading wave of roses illuminated by candlelight. The stems were reflexed and teased into the most sumptuous display - giving the illusion that they’d magically blossomed and rambled along the ornate dining table by themselves. Over at a banquet setting, begone were pretty pastels, as the most fiery tall-table arrangement of fuchsia and crimson roses gave a whole new meaning to the term maxilalism. Completing the celebration of the rose was the hotel's grand piano, sweetly dressed to compliment the pastel counterparts.
