Summer at Moyses Stevens Flower School

Summer is an excellent time to learn about flower arranging - it's the season when a wealth of beautiful and vibrant flowers are in bloom. This means that you'll have access to a wide variety of flowers to work with, from bright and bold blooms to delicate and intricate varieties. So whether you’re looking for a new hobby or are hoping to brush up on your floral talents, we couldn't be more excited to share our schedule of upcoming workshops and classes taking place at Moyses Stevens Flower School over the next couple of months.

Kicking off June (and taking place throughout the summer) is the Vase Arrangement workshop where you’ll discover how to create beautiful and professional-looking vase displays using the season’s unrivalled flowers and foliage. Participants will learn the principles of vase arrangements, including how to choose the right vessel and stems. You will also find out key tips on how to condition the flowers and foliage to keep them looking fresh for as long as possible.

Or perhaps you’be always wanted to try your hand at creating a beautiful, bountiful hand-tied bouquet? Choose from either the Classic class or the Garden-style workshop - distinguishable by the different types of silhouette and approach to design. Participants will learn the key elements of bouquet-making, including colour theory, texture, and shape. By the end of the workshop, you'll have the skills and confidence to whip up your own gorgeous bouquets at home!

Summer is undoubtedly wedding season - perhaps you’re planning your own or helping a loved one with their big day? Designed for beginners, our Bridal Bouquet and Boutonniere lesson is the perfect introduction to the wonderful world of wedding floral design where you’ll gain invaluable insight into the perfect summer stems and essential techniques such as wiring.

Joining the line-up for a limited number of summer dates is the Flowers for the Home masterclass. Whether you enjoy entertaining at home or filling your abode with an abundance of flowers, we will demonstrate how to make the most of your flowers and create low-cost, impactful designs.
