Easter: Connaught Hotel

Easter: Connaught Hotel

Posted by Duncan McCabe on 8th May 2022

Easter is one of the busiest times of year for hotels, as families take advantage of the Easter break to travel, and it's been wonderful to finally see London bustling gain and people flock to the capital. And that was certainly the case for The Connaught Hotel in Mayfair, one of London's most renowned and much loved 5 star destinations.

Our contracts team indulged their creativity in creating a spectacular Easter display in the hotel's lobby to add a touch of fantasy in the shape of a three-meter tree that would look very at home in a Tim Burton film.

The eccentric and playful installation was a celebration of colour with vast plumes of multi-coloured pampas grass reaching through the stairs that looked impressive as guests travel though the grand staircase. The tree's trunk was fashioned with vast pieces of bark stitched together with groupings of moss blending the seams. The tree was completed with brightly painted egg styling and suspended glass jars ladened with mini easter eggs. Painted eggs have been used as a symbol of springtime and new life for centuries, and they play an important role in many Easter traditions. Painted eggs are a cherished part of the Easter tradition for many people, young and old, and our installation was a nod to the tradition providing a fun talking point for guests and staff within the hotel.
