One the reason Orange Trees make good houseplants is because they thrive in warm and stable temperatures which are provided from indoor environments. They do best in areas with 5-6 hours direct sunlight and like humid environments so naturally humid rooms (like kitchens and bathrooms) with lots of light are perfect spots. Another way to create humid environments is through pebble trays or misting the leaves.
Water your plant on a regular schedule and during water allow the soil to dry out between waterings.
