Exciting news from Moyses Stevens Flower School - after much anticipation, they’ll be expanding their schedule of workshops and classes to include a bumper course - One Week Floristry Essentials. We know many of our community are excited to notch their floral knowledge up a gear - and this five-day programme promises bundles of need-to-know floristry techniques, with thorough introductions to key aspects of the industry. Taking place 1-6 May - we recommend securing your place early due to lots of interest!
This is the perfect starting point for complete beginners and floristry fans alike, our team of distinguished (and extremely friendly) tutors will guide you through a series of demonstrations filled with hints and tips - rest assured they are on hand the entire session to answer any questions you might have.
When choosing the perfect floristry course we know it’s important to be armed with all the info. On this carefully curated programme, you’ll begin by mastering several styles of hand-tied bouquet - both a classic composition as well as the contemporary garden-silhouette design. As the exciting week unfolds you’ll be introduced to the wonderful world of events, wedding and corporate floristry - where our tutors not only share mechanical and technical skills but also a wealth of information ranging from flower care to styling advice.
Let's delve a bit further into the modules - during the wedding project you’ll begin by practicing a crucial process when it comes to bridal flowers, wiring! By the end of the session, you’ll be effortlessly crafting boutonnières (buttonholes) and hairpieces before moving on to the main event - the bridal bouquet! As promised, you’ll be introduced to all corners of the flower-making sphere, including corporate design. Absorb insider-information from a team that has been responsible for designing dynamic displays for London’s finest hotels and restaurants. All your flower play and learning throughout the week will culminate in an exciting group project where you’ll unleash your creativity to build a large-scale installation, the perfect photo opportunity, which reminds us, don’t forget to snap your floral projects and all your hard work along the way!
