Moyses Contracts: Tennis Fever
7th Jul 2023
The world’s oldest tennis tournament has made its return to London this week. Wimbledon 2023 kicked off and the city is swept up in a whirl of strawberries and cream for one of the world’s major sporting events. Our Contracts team are not only inspired by seasonality and spaces they occupy but by special events and occasions - and Wimbledon is just one of them!
The Championships’ colour palette of grass-green and regal-purple very much permeates the designs - with bright white and fresh accents of yellow. The Jumeirah Carlton Tower’s sculptural centrepiece made a contemporary nod to the grass courts with sea of textural dianthus and heads of verdant hydrangeas. Perfectly coinciding with Wimbledon is the allium - the statuesque, spherical stem famous for its bold purple buds - and a winner for Contracts displays.
Staying true to Nobu Portman Square’s effortlessly chic surroundings - mono-floral vases of crisp white hydrangea contrasted against the tennis ball-like craspedia.
