My Flower Style - With Megan, Head of Events

Working within the wonderful world of Moyses Stevens guarantees many highlights but one that is always unanimously agreed upon is the variation - no two days are rarely the same. One minute we’re assembling a chandelier of tulips, the next adorning a staircase with rainbow pampas grass. Behind each of these designs is a team of florists, carefully working to brief - ensuring each client’s request is executed to perfection. Creating such a vast myriad of work, it’s always fascinating to grab our experts to pick their brains and find out what their favourite floral asethetic is.

Perhaps no one is more familiar with juggling a host of contrasting projects than Megan, our multi-tasking Head of Events. We managed to pin her down to share her favourite approach to flower styling -

“One of the best parts of the job is getting to create lots of different styles, however, If I had to choose my preferred design for spring (which is really tricky), the colour palette would be an array of pastel shades - they just blend together so beautifully and it’s a perfect fit for the season. In terms of composition, I love to use lots of smaller, delicate stems - for me detail is more eye-catching than one large bloom as there’s more to see and explore. Oh and there must be scent - this is integral to celebrating the spirit of spring!”
