About this workshop

What you'll spend your time on.

Whether you enjoy entertaining at home or filling your abode with an abundance of flowers, we will demonstrate how to make the most of your flowers and create low-cost, impactful designs that are perfect for entertaining or simply indulging a passion for flowers. The class will span a range of industry techniques. The morning will be dedicated to the cornerstone technique of contemporary flower design - the hand-tied technique. In the afternoon, we will focus on vase design, with tips on choosing a vase or container and the principles of scale, balance and proportion. Expect beautiful seasonal flowers and a range of tips and tricks for the perfect flowers at home. This day class is the perfect opportunity to dig deeper into the world of flowers and is ideal for both beginners and those looking to expand their flower design skills. Our classes are relaxed, informative and taught by experienced and creative tutors. Five hours workshop with one hour break

What's included

Everything you need on the day.

Every workshop is built so you can turn up empty-handed and leave with a finished design. We provide all the flowers and foliage chosen that morning from our delivery, all the tools you need at your station, an apron to keep your clothes clean, and refreshments to keep the room sociable while you work.

Class sizes are deliberately small so the tutor can spend real one-to-one time with each person. We cover the basics of flower choice, conditioning and structure before building up to the design itself, and finish with photography and a flower-care card so you can keep your piece at its best at home.
